New Venture - N Gauge
A first foray into 2mm/N gauge details and weathering.
A speculative email from Craig led me to accept a pair of Farish Loco's. A class 47 in two tone green and a Gresley A3 in green.
Made a few physical changes to both, coal, fan grilles and cutting off couplings were a few of the most obvious.Because of my unfamiliarity with the models, everthing took much longer than normal, many thanks to Craig for his patience and enthusiasm. While working on this pair I bought one of the new Dapol Collet brake coaches in Crimson and Cream. This weathered really well and if this is the standard of new models being produced things look bright for N gauge. The loco's look better in the flesh than in the photo's, probably due to the limitations of my camera and the physical size of the stock. You don't have to take my word for it, but it looks like I'll have a few more tiny trains on the bench before long.
