Welcome to the World of Windsock
Welcome to The World of Windsock!Welcome, have a browse and please email to let me know what you think of my site. Contact - crabbygaz@yahoo.co.uk
To find the pictures, choose a file from the 'navigation' bar on the left of the screen. This will lead to folders of photographs. The pictures you see on the right of the screen are hosted on Flickr. If you click on any of them it will take you to my Flickr homepage. When you get to the pictures, please note that the full size versions are mostly 1200 pixels wide, so will work best if your screen is set up to 1224 x 768 or greater. There are lots of pictures of model trains. I like to take them apart, make them look more like the real thing and then make them look like they work hard. This means adding details to them, repainting some of them and weathering them. Have a look through the files on the left in the navigation window. If you click on one of the smaller index pictures you can see it at between half and full size. I have tried to keep most of the files to less than 200kb, so they should not take too long to load. My Nikon D80 takes great pictures, but the files are really large so it's getting more and more difficult to keep the file size small - broadband is recommended to see this site quickly. I have included a folder of screen shots from Microsoft Flight Simulator taken with FSScreen. As I use a Mac now, there won't be any more screen shots. In September 2006 I started an evening photography course at Hertford Regional College, so I have added a few of my favourite photos in a new folder. I hope to update this with course material. I like to think that my photography has improved since I started the site, so have a look and tell me what you think. This site is quite easy to look after thanks to my helpful host (many thanks Matt) and because it is built using Plone - have a go yourself and keep safe surfing. Have a look at the site map, which you will find at the top of this page. This will let you wander around and see everything there is to see.
